Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Bandland, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, harassing, or harmful content.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse the platform.
  • Use Bandland to send spam or unsolicited messages.

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Bandland a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and display your content as needed to operate the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share any content you upload.

6. Community-created workspaces

Bandland allows registered users to create community workspaces — pages about artists, venues, festivals, services, or other industry entities they do not officially represent. These pages are clearly labelled as community-created and can later be claimed by the official owner or representative.

If you create or contribute to a community-created workspace, you are responsible for ensuring that any information, images, links, contact details, or other content you submit is:

  • publicly available, or
  • shared with appropriate rights, licenses, or permissions.

You agree not to submit:

  • private or confidential information,
  • unauthorized personal contact details,
  • copyrighted material you do not have the right to use,
  • misleading, defamatory, or inaccurate information.

Bandland does not independently verify community-submitted content and makes no guarantees as to its accuracy, completeness, or current status. We may remove, restrict, edit, or transfer ownership of any community workspace that is reported as inaccurate, infringing, confidential, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

If you believe a community-created workspace contains content that infringes your rights or should not be public, please contact us at hello@bandland.net to request a review or takedown.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer

Bandland is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service available and secure but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
